Multi Hash Generator โ€” All Hash Types at Once

Generate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 hashes simultaneously from text or files. Our multi-hash generator computes all popular cryptographic hash functions in one go, making it easy to compare checksums and verify file integrity. All processing happens locally in your browser โ€” your data is never sent to any server.

Key Features

  • โ€ข Generate all 5 hash types simultaneously in real-time
  • โ€ข Support for both text input and file uploads (drag & drop)
  • โ€ข Toggle between uppercase and lowercase hex output
  • โ€ข Copy individual hashes or all hashes at once
  • โ€ข Instant processing with no file size limits
  • โ€ข 100% client-side โ€” your data never leaves your browser

Supported Algorithms

  • โ€ข MD5 โ€” Fast but cryptographically weak; used for checksums
  • โ€ข SHA-1 โ€” 160-bit hash; deprecated for security use
  • โ€ข SHA-256 โ€” 256-bit hash; recommended for security
  • โ€ข SHA-384 โ€” 384-bit hash; part of SHA-2 family
  • โ€ข SHA-512 โ€” 512-bit hash; highest security of the set

FAQ

What is a multi hash generator?
A multi hash generator computes multiple hash algorithms simultaneously from a single input. Enter text or upload a file to get MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, and other hash digests at once.
Which hash algorithm should I use?
SHA-256 for general-purpose hashing, SHA-512 for maximum security, MD5 only for checksums (not security). For passwords, use bcrypt or Argon2 instead โ€” they are designed to be intentionally slow.
Why do I get different hashes for the same text?
Different algorithms produce different output sizes and values. Also, whitespace, encoding (UTF-8 vs ASCII), and line endings (LF vs CRLF) can change the hash. Ensure your input is exactly identical.
Can I reverse a hash to get the original text?
No, cryptographic hash functions are one-way by design. You cannot mathematically reverse a hash. However, weak hashes of common passwords can be found in rainbow tables โ€” this is why we use salted hashing for passwords.
